Our boys and girls basketball teams compete in the 'A' leagues. The girls also have a second team in most age groups, which play in the 'B' league. The age groups are

U-19, U-16, 2nd Year and 1st Year.

This year (2009/2010) we are piloting a new skills development session for the dedicated basketballers of CCS.
Every Tuesday morning from around 8am until 8:45 our players gather in the PE hall to brush up on and improve shooting and general ball handling skills.
We have had a good turn out of senior girls teams and the boys teams are now welcome to join in too from Tues 29th September 2009 onwards.
Looking forward to seeing all players bright eyed and bushy tailed on Tuesday :)

Previous Successes:

Our most successful team in 2007/2008 was the Cadette (U-16) girls team who won the Cork Schools 'A' league and went on to win All-Ireland bronze medals.

In 2008, 2 students Aideen McCarthy and Laoise Murphy were selected for the Irish Girls' U-16 basketball team. Congratulations to all involved!
