Carol Singing and Overnight Fast

€6,853 Raised for St. Vincent De Paul in Carrigaline and Ballygarvan
The annual Carol Singing and Overnight Fasting event took place in Carrigaline and Ballygarvan on Friday 11th December 2009. Large numbers of students accompanied by teachers travelled around various housing estates in the community and sang carols and Christmas songs to raise money for St. Vincent de Paul. All groups received a wonderful response and we are very grateful to the community for their support. A group of Transition Year students, together with some of the teaching staff also took part in an overnight fast in the parish hall. Not much sleep was had but the fun and games kept everyone in good spirits!
A total of €6,853.50 was raised between the efforts in Ballygarvan and Carrigaline. Well done to all involved and a special thank you to Mr. Kevin McCluskey for organising the event.
